AsPaid is an expense book for anyone who spends in more than one currency.
Every expense carries two numbers: what you actually paid, and the same amount in
your own money at that day's rate. The converted figure is worked out once, when you
write the expense, and then it is frozen. It never changes behind your back, so the
book still adds up in five years.
YOUR DATA IS YOURS
Your expenses go into a private folder in your own Google Drive, encrypted on this
phone before they leave it. We never receive them. We cannot read them. We cannot
lose them. If AsPaid disappeared tomorrow, your book is still in a folder you own,
in a format you can open.
You can also keep everything on this phone and never turn syncing on at all.
SEPARATE BOOKS
Business and Personal are separate books with their own currencies, categories and
bills — because one is a tax return and the other is a weekend. Reports read one
book or all of them together.
BILLS THAT LOOK AFTER THEMSELVES
Rent, subscriptions, a yearly licence. Say how often, and the expense appears on the
day without asking — or waits for your yes, for the ones whose amount moves. Leave
the phone in a drawer for two months and every month it missed is written, each one
dated the day it was actually due.
REPORTS THAT ANSWER A QUESTION
What did this month cost. Where it went. Whether it is getting worse. How this month
compares with the same month last year. What you buy over and over. What you are
committed to in bills before you buy anything at all.
NO ACCOUNT TO SELL
No subscription, no advertising, no in-app purchase. It is free because it was built
for its author's own expenses first.
Works offline. Everything on screen is read from what is already stored, so nothing
needs a connection to be true.
Two numbers on every expense: what you paid, and what it cost in your own money.
