About this app

In this app for intermediate and advanced Spanish and English learners, the focus is on daily speaking practice and learning vocabulary.

Learn and practice vocabulary only by listening. Play a vocaulary list to hear every new word and the translation, without needing to look at your phone. You could listen and test yourself on vocabulary while walking, driving or cleaning, to maximise your language learning time.

Use the 'Practice' tab to prepare for speaking and listening in the real world. Talk spontaneously about a daily topic. After you see the day’s topic, you have 10 seconds and then you need to start speaking about it. It doesn’t matter if you make mistakes - no one is listening (only the AI!).

Listen to recordings of native speakers talking naturally in real conversations. You can view a transcript of what they're saying and click difficult words to see an explanation.

Write 70 words per day and discover your grammar mistakes, corrected by AI.

I tried this app in both languages, and have to say I was disappointed with the Spanish side. I think it's nice for practicing standardized writing and speaking, however while it allows you to listen to different accents, it doesn't seem to understand them when spoken. Instead, it corrects them to fit the standard. So I tried the app again in English, using different regional accents, and it didn’t correct any mistakes. Good app, but Spanish accents should also be recognized.

A really great app and concept, I love the idea of small daily tasks, and these are executed really well. However I personally don't think the amount of content you get at the moment is worth the subscription fee and I don't personally find the vocabulary lists to be very useful. I would love to see more tasks added in the future, perhaps things like "describe what's in the image", or a reading comprehension task where you summarize what was said.

I really like this app and think its great for improving my Spanish level. I don't have a lot of time as a busy working mum but because it's quick I find it easier to fit into my day and most days remember to do it. I like the way it covers speaking, reading and listening. It helps me remember bits of grammar I forget. The timed speaking is good and I like the fact you can listen to real voices with different accents rather than just AI. It's the best learning Spanish app I've used!
