Pilot Project: Cornelias Lousada Bike-share

The Municipality of Lousada intends, through this project, to encourage the population of Lousada to adopt more sustainable and safe practices in the use of transport, with a special focus on promoting electric mobility and active mobility, as well as highlighting the importance of active forms of transport, associated with a lifestyle with significant gains for health, the environment and the economy.

This project for the Municipality of Lousada is still an area under exploration, so we intend to proceed with it through the implementation of what we will call a pilot project within the scope of making this equipment available to the population of the Municipality, in order to assess our local reality, which will allow us to proceed with the elaboration of a regulation for the use of the equipment based on a user experience.

The Municipality of Lousada offers citizens a shared bicycle service, consisting of 6 electric bicycles and 4 parking stations, called Cornelias Lousada Bike-share, constituting an alternative mode of soft mobility.
