About this app
MyNAS Sync backs up photos, videos, documents, and entire folders directly from your smartphone to your own NAS. Using SMB2/SMB3, over your own Wi-Fi network – no cloud, no user account, no intermediary server. Your files never leave your network.
WHAT THE APP CAN DO
• Back up photos, videos, documents, and entire folders
• Transfer entire albums – each album is placed in its own subfolder
• "New only": The app compares the files to your NAS and only offers what's actually missing – including files uploaded by another app
• Separate destination folders for photos and videos
• Pause, Resume, Cancel After a connection interruption, the backup process continues.
• Backup only via Wi-Fi; parallel transfers can be configured.
• Duplicate detection via name, size, and date, optionally via SHA-256.
• Integrity check after the transfer.
• History with all details, notifications, dark and light mode.
• German and English.
YOUR NAS
Unraid, Synology, QNAP, TrueNAS, Windows shares, and Samba. The NAS is automatically detected on your Wi-Fi network; alternatively, you can manually enter the address and share. Connection is exclusively via SMB2 or SMB3 with signing, optionally with additional encryption. The outdated SMB1 is not supported.
SECURE AND PRIVATE
Passwords are stored exclusively in the Android Keystore. There is no provider server and no account. Logs remain local, and passwords are masked within them. Statistics and crash reports are disabled by default.
NO DELETE SYNC
If you delete a photo on your phone, the backup on the NAS remains intact. A backup is meant to protect, not delete.
