About this app

Choose a practice session and speed to learn with. For each line, you'll hear the Morse version, the spoken text, and then the Morse again.

The app works as a media player and provides play/pause/skip access from the notification bar, and can show the current text over Bluetooth displays.

Add your own text files, or use one of the 100+ built-in from Morse Code Ninja's public domain practice files.

Remembers recently used practice sets and the last phrase played in each set.

Customizations:
- Words per minute code speed
- Tone: Hz, rise and fall times
- Delay before the text is spoken
- Shuffle playback option
- Number of CW repeats before speech
- Volume of CW and text-to-speech

THIS! How is it free? Better, holy heck, 1000 times better than the one I paid for and have since deleted. Ok...first it will continue to play the training exercises when you turn of your screen! And you can pause and go back or forward from the dark screen. The exercises are so long that you can practice an hour or more without messing with the phone or app. It has EVERY SINGLE THING YOU NEED and is so organized and THEN the organization is even organized. You can change the speed! NO ADS!!!!!

The Dev is on the right track. This app is close to being fully useful to learners like myself. During an exercise, at the moment a word is revealed and spelled in Morse, one only sees the word and hears the group of tones that spells it. That's great for learning what a whole word sounds like. It would be better to have an option where each letter is visually highlighted as its Morse tones are played, so that individual character learning can be reinforced in addition to cluster learning.

Thanks for the review! Sorry that it doesn't do letter-by-letter (due to the way the CW audio is generated and played back, to ensure precise timing). But you might find the IZ2UUF app useful, it has that feature. I hope this helps, good luck on your learning!

I am strongly advocating for the ham radio crash course to do a walk-through and review of this amazing and wonderful Morse code training app that someone has been kind enough to put together for their fellow hams at no cost, without subscription, and no ads. The game changer is being able to hear the spoken character after the morse code at a speed of your choice to assist your training and then to add dozens of varied text files to aid training is just beyond awesome. WOW!
