Clipwright makes phone videos smaller and shorter so they are easier to share.

Choose a video, trim it, split it into pieces, crop it to portrait or square, pick a resolution and quality, and export. Everything happens on your device.

WHAT IT DOES

• Trim with a preview. Place cuts precisely with 0.1-second steps, not just by dragging.
• Split into equal lengths or at points you choose — and see, in plain words, what happens to the leftover piece before you export.
• Crop or letterbox to portrait 9:16, square 1:1, landscape 16:9 or 4:5.
• Choose a resolution and quality, with an estimate before you start and the real measured size afterwards.
• Queue several clips, watch real progress, cancel anything, and retry without choosing the video again.
• Save to your gallery, save a copy anywhere, share, or open the result in any other player.

Clipwright reads the video you pick and writes its results to new files. It never changes, moves or deletes your original.

No account. No sign-in. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Clipwright does not even have permission to use the internet, so nothing can leave your device.

HONEST ABOUT THE HARD PARTS

Video is device-dependent, and Clipwright says so rather than failing quietly:

• Some formats a particular phone cannot process. When that happens, Clipwright tells you which part failed and what to try instead of producing a damaged file.
• Compression is never guaranteed. If a file was already squeezed harder than the quality you pick, the result can be larger — so Clipwright warns you beforehand and reports the measured truth afterwards.
• Long exports can slow down as the phone warms up. Progress reflects real work done, so a slow bar means slow work, not a stuck app.

ACCESSIBLE

Large font sizes, dark mode and TalkBack are supported. Every trim handle can be moved by slider, by fixed steps, or by taking the current preview position, so no edit depends on a precise drag. Export status is always written in words, never signalled by colour alone.
