Cardbound Expedition is a single-player card roguelike where you fight with whatever lands in your hand.
There is no deck-building lobby: every battle starts with a random hand of seven cards. Play them, store the best for next turn, reroll with gold, and buy XP so better cards show up. Every choice happens inside the fight.
Three copies of the same card at the same star merge on their own into the next star. Two stars are a clear step up, three-star attack cards hit all enemies without selecting a target, and a three-star legendary turns a battle around in one blow.
An expedition is three acts and eighteen battles. Mid bosses appear in Acts 1 and 2, and a boss waits at the end of each act. Every run meets different bosses out of seven. Enemies strike back after a few cards, so the order you play matters.
Three heroes: the Knight, who holds the line with shield and sword; the Alchemist, who has little health but fights with burns and healing; and the Puppeteer, who binds enemies with red thread and drains their life to stay standing. Each hero has their own thirty cards. Finish an expedition with the Knight, win or lose, to unlock the Alchemist and the Puppeteer.
Win an expedition to earn permanent growth for health, hand space and starting gold, and climb ten expedition grades with harder rules. There are shops, road events, card and enemy collections, and achievements.
No ads. Plays offline. Supports Korean, English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Spanish, Russian, French, German, Brazilian Portuguese, and Japanese.
Free trial and full game
Play free until the Act 1 boss appears. The rest of the expedition unlocks with a single in-app purchase (full game). The Alchemist and the Puppeteer are included in the full game and become available after you finish an expedition with the Knight. After buying, your trial run continues from that boss fight. Purchasing and restoring purchases require an internet connection.
Three matching cards merge on their own. A card roguelike across 18 battles.
