About this app

Biosmart Mobile Reader is an application used as a mobile card reader to record passages at locations where deploying a stationary Access Control System (ACS) is impossible or impractical: at temporary construction sites, remote checkpoints, and corporate events.

The app implements two main operation scenarios:

1. "Muster Point" mode (Evacuation Control)
This mode is designed for the prompt tracking of employees during emergencies. The "Monitoring" page displays a list of employees currently on site. When an employee arrives at a safe zone and taps their RFID card (or an operator checks them in manually by name), this person is automatically hidden from the list. Thus, the operator is left with only an up-to-date list of those who have not yet evacuated.

2. "Mobile Checkpoint" mode
For everyday work, this mode turns a smartphone into a portable checkpoint. Record employee entries and exits using an RFID card, and the app will automatically transmit the data to the Biosmart Studio server to calculate working hours, generate reports, and analyze attendance.

MDM Support (Managed Configurations):
The app supports remote configuration via Mobile Device Management (MDM/EMM) systems using Android App Restrictions. System administrators can mass-deploy and centrally manage the application on corporate devices with the following pre-configured parameters:
• Biosmart Studio server IP address (bs_studio_ip)
• Server port (bs_studio_port)
• PIN code for accessing settings (pincode)

Requirements for proper operation:
• Smartphone or tablet with NFC support;
• Constant internet connection (mobile network or Wi-Fi) to communicate with the Biosmart Studio v6 server.
