About this game

Card Sequel is a strategy board and card game where every card in your hand is a claim on the board. Play a card, drop your chip on the matching space, and race to line up five in a row before your opponent does.

Easy to learn in one match. Hard to put down after that.


HOW IT PLAYS

Every space on the board matches a playing card. Play a card from your hand and claim that space with your chip. Connect five of your chips in a row — across, down or diagonally — to score a sequence. Get there first and the match is yours.

Then the jacks arrive and change everything:

• Two-eyed jacks are wild — claim any open space on the board
• One-eyed jacks remove an opponent's chip and undo their progress
• All four corners are free spaces that count toward any sequence
• Holding a card whose spaces are both taken? That's a dead card — swap it out and keep moving


GAME MODES

• Single player — take on the bot across easy, medium and hard. Hard plans several moves ahead, so don't get comfortable
• Online 1v1 — create a game and share your code with a friend. Then battle it out move by move.
• 2v2 team play — team up with friends using a shared game code and coordinate your board. Reading your partner is half the game.
• Private rooms — create a room, share the invite link, and play with friends and family wherever they are


CLIMB THE RANKS

Every match counts toward your record. Track games played, won and lost, follow your position on the leaderboard, and look back through your match history to see where your game is getting sharper.


MAKE THE BOARD YOURS

Earn coins as you play and spend them in the shop on new avatars, board designs and chip styles. Come back each day for the daily spin and free rewards.


REACT IN THE MOMENT

Send reactions mid-match to celebrate a sequence, or to let your opponent know you saw that blocked move coming.
