BitLab turns your phone or tablet into a control surface for a live show.
On the same network as the venue's gear, BitLab discovers your equipment and puts audio, lighting, video and playback on one screen — so you can walk the room instead of standing behind the desk.
WHAT IT CONTROLS
• Audio consoles — Behringer X32, Midas M32, WING, X-Air, Allen & Heath dLive and Avantis, Yamaha, DiGiCo, Soundcraft
• Lighting — ETC Eos, grandMA, ChamSys, Hog, Titan, Onyx, plus Art-Net and RDM fixtures
• Video — Blackmagic ATEM switchers and PJLink projectors
• Playback — QLab, ProPresenter, OBS, PowerPoint, Keynote and Spotify
• Wireless — receiver monitoring and spectrum scanning
BitLab talks to your equipment over your local network, in each manufacturer's own protocol. Gear that needs a computer beside it, such as PowerPoint, Keynote, ProPresenter, OBS and Spotify, is reached through BitLab Bridge, a companion app for Mac and PC. BitLab is a remote for equipment you already own.
BUILT FOR THE ROOM, NOT THE DEMO
• Channel strips, EQ, dynamics, sends, routing, scenes and mute groups
• Live metering with pre/post selection
• Multi-device control so a team can work one show together
• Diagnostics for when something is wrong five minutes before doors
• Show files you can prepare at home and load at the venue
WORKS OFFLINE
Venues do not have reliable internet, so BitLab does not assume any. Once you have signed in, preparing a show, editing a show file, browsing your device library and running the built-in Demo Console all work with no connection at all. Your work is stored on your device. One exception: if your account holds a BitLab license, for example one issued through your organization, BitLab needs an internet connection at least every few days. After longer without one, it asks you to connect before it opens again.
TRY IT WITHOUT ANY HARDWARE
A Demo Console is built in. Add it to a session and you get a simulated X32/M32 desk to explore and edit, with no hardware or network, so you can learn the app on the train and not on a show day.
FREE TO DOWNLOAD AND USE
Creating and editing show files, your device library, device discovery, sessions, history and the Demo Console are free, always.
Live control of connected hardware and the advanced diagnostics, monitoring, deployment and cloud tools are part of a BitLab plan. If your account already includes them, just sign in and they unlock — there is nothing to buy inside the app.
ABOUT THE PERMISSIONS
• Local network access — how BitLab finds and talks to your consoles and fixtures. This is the core of the app.
• Camera and microphone — optional. The camera is used only for remote assistance video; the microphone for remote assistance, for talking to the ILO assistant, and for the audio measurement tools. BitLab never records in the background.
• Biometrics — optional, to unlock your account with the method your device already uses.
• Nearby devices (Bluetooth) — declared by the audio and MIDI components BitLab is built with. BitLab does not scan for or pair with Bluetooth devices, and does not ask you for this permission.
BitLab does not sell your data and shows no ads.
MADE BY PEOPLE WHO DO THIS FOR A LIVING
BitLab is built by IloSys OÜ around one idea: the moments that matter in live production are the ones where something has gone wrong and you have ninety seconds. Every screen is designed for that, not for a product tour.
