About this app

HTTP Server turns your Android phone or tablet into a file server on your Wi-Fi network. Start the server, then open the address (or scan the QR code) on any computer, tablet or phone on the same network. A web browser is all you need. No cable, no account, and nothing to install on the other device.

FILE SHARING
• Browse the folder you choose from any web browser
• Download single files, or a whole folder as a ZIP
• Upload files from your computer to your phone (multiple files at once)
• Create folders, rename and delete files
• Image and video thumbnails
• Stream videos and music directly in the browser, with seeking supported

PRIVATE AND IN YOUR CONTROL
• You pick exactly which folder to share, using Android's system folder picker. The app cannot see anything else on your device
• Read-only mode is on by default, so visitors can only view and download
• Optional password to keep others on the network out
• See who is visiting, downloading or uploading in real time
• Files go directly between your devices over your local network. They are never sent to the cloud
• No ads, no analytics, no sign-up

KEEPS RUNNING
• Runs in the background with a notification, so you can turn off the screen
• Choose your own port and site name
• Light and dark themes, available in more than 30 languages

PLAY TOGETHER
Everyone on the same Wi-Fi can open the game page and play together in their browser. If you don't have enough players, add computer players to fill the seats:
Chinese chess (Xiangqi), chess, Gomoku, Reversi, Taiwanese 16-tile Mahjong, Big Two, Sevens, Blackjack, Ludo, Sudoku race, Pipes, Solitaire race, Tug of war, and the co-op shooter Sky Ace.

Note: the server only works on your local network (Wi-Fi or hotspot). For your security, only run it on networks you trust, and turn on the password when other people are connected.
