About this app

The application (app) "Shooting Range Search" was developed by the Bavarian Hunting Association as part of the BJV shooting project to give hunters in Bavaria a very quick and practical overview of the existing shooting ranges in Bavaria and the surrounding area for practice shooting. The app can therefore be used by users to find shooting ranges where hunting can be practiced.
With the shooting range search app, hunters can use a filter function to select the shooting ranges depending on the hunting discipline (e.g. 50, 100, 200, 300 meter marble run, running boar, shotgun trap, skeet, parcours, handgun range, etc.) Show more). The shooting ranges you are looking for are displayed on a geographic map even with a route planner.
The app for the shooting range search is under the motto of the BJV shooting project:
“The Bavarian hunters take hunting shooting and its practice very seriously and practice regularly. Through the shooting project, you will also work on improving your skills and competencies. "
The app is therefore intended to help hunters to find shooting ranges more quickly and to help them practice regularly. In the recent past, the BJV has also developed a concept for practical hunting throughout Bavaria. The concept applies to all hunting shooting. In addition, his decisive point of view on hunting practice shooting is anchored here, which has also become a stipulation for the shooting project:
"Safe, hunted and animal welfare-friendly hunting requires accurate shooting performance on the part of the hunters. Due to hunting ethics and animal welfare, a regular and reliable review of the hunters' own craftsmanship as well as the handling of the corresponding hunting weapons are required. "
Background:
The shooting project was created by the Bavarian Hunting Association (BJV) in cooperation with the Bavarian State Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Forests (StMELF) and applied for and approved by the Supreme Hunting Advisory Board for funding from the hunting tax. The project goes back to the application "Use of the hunting tax funds for the promotion of shooting ranges and movement hunting training" (printed matter 17/10644) as well as the relevant decision of the Bavarian state parliament (printed matter 17/11475; 17/11668).
