About this app

One of the main causes of accidents can be identified in the defects of the existing infrastructures which induce errors in the perception of the road environment by the user or amplify the effects of slight distractions while driving.
There are areas on the roads characterized by a high probability of an accident called "blackpoints".
The application was created with a twofold objective:
- Allow you to quickly report a new blackpoint using your smartphone.
In this way you will contribute to increase the database of reports. The ANIA Foundation will solicit the solution of the Blackpoint from the Authority responsible for the road (Municipality, Province, ANAS, etc.) and publish the reports on the portal http://blackpoint.smaniadisicurezza.it
- Provide you with a useful tool that warns you in advance of the presence of a danger.
Every time you approach a black point, the application will warn you with an acoustic signal of the presence of danger, accessing the signal database in real time.

To make a telephone report or request information on the status of your Blackpoints, you can contact the toll-free number 800.433.466 (from Monday to Friday: 8.30 - 13.00 / 14.30 - 18.30) or the email address info@smaniadisicurezza.it.

The Blackpoint app is developed by the ANIA Foundation was born in 2004 by the will of the insurance companies, acting for over 12 years to reduce the number and severity of accidents on Italian roads. It did so by dialoguing with the public sector by signing memoranda of understanding with central and peripheral administrations, but also by creating, designing and financing training and information activities that significantly contributed to the diffusion of a new culture compliance with the rules of the road.
A planning that has accredited the ANIA Foundation among the most authoritative subjects in the field of road safety, not only at a national level, as demonstrated by the collaborations also started with European bodies such as the European Transport Safety Council.
In 2017, the mission of the ANIA Foundation was expanded, no longer limiting the scope of action to road safety, but extending it to the protection of families and businesses in our country.
