About this app

PaperHero turns the pile of paper and PDFs in your life into a smart, searchable archive you can access anywhere. Scan a document with your phone and our AI instantly reads the text, organizes it, and makes it findable in seconds — no manual tagging required.

Stop losing important documents forever. Whether it's invoices, contracts, letters, receipts, or warranties, PaperHero keeps everything in one secure place and lets you find any file just by describing it in plain language.

KEY FEATURES

Scan & Upload Anywhere
Capture documents with your camera or upload PDFs and images (PNG, JPEG, BMP). PaperHero converts them into clean, searchable files automatically.

AI Text Recognition (OCR)
Advanced OCR extracts text from printed and handwritten documents with near-perfect accuracy, in multiple languages.

Intelligent Search
Search by meaning, not just keywords. Ask in plain language — "the electricity bill from last winter" — and PaperHero finds it.

Chat With Your Documents
Ask questions about your archive and get instant, AI-powered answers drawn from your own files.

Intelligent Inbox
A central hub that automatically processes new uploads and suggests where each document belongs.

Folders & Smart Organization
Keep documents tidy with folders and AI filing suggestions based on your existing structure.

Family & Friend Sharing
Share folders and documents with granular permission controls — read, write, or full access.

Bank-Grade Security & Privacy
Every document is end-to-end encrypted with RSA 4096-bit encryption and protected by your password. Two-factor authentication keeps your account safe.

GDPR Compliant, Hosted in Germany
All data is stored on secure servers in Germany and fully complies with GDPR. Optional device-exclusive key storage gives you total control.

Works Everywhere
Reach your documents from the Android app, iOS, the web, a REST API, and an terminal CLI — your archive stays in sync across every device.

WHY PAPERHERO?
• Find any document in seconds instead of digging through drawers and folders
• Reduce paper clutter and go digital with confidence

What’s new

Fixed: the app asked you to rate it again and again, after almost every upload, even if you had already rated it. The rating question now appears at most twice ever, with six months in between, and never again once you have answered it.

Fixed: rating PaperHero from Settings now also stops the automatic question for good, and it opens the rating dialog directly instead of just the store page.

Fixed: the Contact Customer Support link in Settings opened a page that does not exist.
