Bring your messages and home screen together with Messages: Text Messenger Home. Send SMS and MMS, organize conversations and open your apps from a customizable Android home launcher.
This app combines messaging with a replacement home screen. Setup asks you to choose Messages Home as your default Home app. To send, receive and manage texts, also choose it as your default SMS app when prompted. Change default apps later in Android Settings.
ORGANIZE YOUR INBOX
Search conversations, pin important threads and archive chats to keep them outside the main inbox. Browse All, Personal, OTP, Transactions, Promotions and Updates categories. On-device rules use message previews and sender details; classifications are not guaranteed. Copy recognized verification codes from supported messages.
WRITE AND SHARE
Send text messages to phone numbers and choose recipients from your contacts when you allow contact access. Use the attachment controls for photos, videos, audio and contact details. You can also insert a location link after allowing location access. Attachments are sent using the messaging services supported by your device and carrier; this is not an internet chat or RCS service.
PLAN A MESSAGE
Choose a future date and time when composing a message, then find pending messages in Scheduled. Send a queued message now, copy its text or remove it. Scheduled sending depends on the phone being available, the required Android settings and permissions, and carrier service. Exact delivery times are not guaranteed.
MANAGE UNWANTED CONVERSATIONS
Block selected numbers or conversations using the app's blocking controls. Review blocked entries and unblock them when needed. Blocking is based on your choices; the app does not promise to identify every spam message or protect against all scams.
CUSTOMIZE YOUR HOME
Use the app drawer to search and launch installed apps. Add app shortcuts to Home, arrange icons and organize shortcuts into folders. Adjust icon size, label visibility, text size, drawer columns and background appearance. Open wallpaper settings and add supported widgets from apps installed on your phone. Availability depends on the apps and device. The Home message panel provides a shortcut to your inbox and shows message information when access is available.
BACK UP AND RESTORE SMS
Choose a backup folder using Android's file picker and create an SMS backup file. Select a compatible backup to restore messages, review the file information and confirm before importing. Restore progress is shown in the app and through a foreground-service notification, with an option to stop the restore. Keep backup files somewhere you trust: exported backups contain message content and are not encrypted by this app. Backup and restore currently support SMS only, not MMS or automatic scheduled backups.
ACCESS AND PRIVACY
No app account is required. SMS access enables core messaging, contact access helps display names and select recipients, and notification permission supports message alerts and restore progress. Location access is used when you choose the location attachment. The launcher reads launchable installed apps to build its app drawer.
Inbox categorization and SMS backup processing take place on your device. The app also includes Google Mobile Ads, Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics for advertising, usage measurement and crash diagnostics. Ad availability depends on configuration, eligibility and privacy choices. Do not treat local message processing as a claim that the app collects no data.
