About this game

Wake the Citadel one route at a time

Pulse Citadel is a compact sci-fi defense game about bringing a dormant machine fully online.

Choose one visible research node, launch a combat simulation, and turn each destroyed enemy into Charge for the grid. Completed nodes reveal new signals, open new branches, and push the Citadel from a bare core into a layered defense system.

Combat runs on your build

The Citadel fires unlocked weapons by itself. You shape the run by timing active abilities, changing simulation speed, and deciding when to push deeper or end the run.

Unlock Bolt upgrades, Arc Lattice chains, Rail Spike burst shots, and Drone Ring close defense. Add Shockwave, Stasis Pulse, and Overcharge when your route brings those systems online.

Route Charge through a hand-built grid

The campaign lives on a circuit-style research grid with normal nodes and permanent prestige nodes. Start with Bolt, Stasis, or simulation speed, then branch into weapons, abilities, targeting, shielding, stored Charge, scouting, auto-routing, and outer-grid synchronization.

No in-run shop. No random loot. Your long-term power comes from the routes you light up.

Rebuild, converge, finish

Push through escalating waves, break Siege Carriers, reach Wave 50, and rebuild the grid through prestige. When every permanent outer system is claimed and Core Convergence is complete, launch the final battle and face the final threat.

The first prestige path is free to play. The rest of the full game progression is planned as a paid unlock.
Automated combat powers a hand-built grid. Route Charge and wake the Citadel.

seems like a copy of The Tower but with out any of the active elements. as far as I can tell I just sit and wait for rounds to end and slowly accumulate research over several rounds to upgrade. I love a good idle game and dyson swarm was legit. but this one's not looking so hot right now. I went back and gave it a second chance. I discovered i could end the rounds early to focus on the faster kills for research. things are moving along more smoothly now and im finally noticing progress.

I wanted something shorter than the tower and just a fun research grind. Sorry it didnt meet your expectations. IDS 2 in the works though!

It's fun, but it's the most battery hungry game I've ever played. It was actively reducing the battery while it was on charge by so much that I nearly ran out before I realised what was doing it. The new update helps a little, but it still drains and heats up my phone when the fps is reduced and the fight in background

Working on it! v0.0.18 has options to reduce the fps and defualts to 60 as well as a way to hide the game in the background behind the research tree. Edit: V0.0.19 should help this even more.

not sure about the negative reviews here. another fun incremental game, great job dev. great monetary model, play free to start and then pay for full game, no micro transactions

What’s new

- Removed some shadows and effects to improve performance (I cant see the difference)
- Improved reduce motion to not break the replay button or the start/info buttons.
- Play Services have had the update frequency dramatically reduced.
