About this app

Look up – at your lock screen. Skyframe replaces your lock screen background with a fresh weather satellite image every 15 or 30 minutes, so you see what is happening in the sky above you right now.

FRESH IMAGES, AUTOMATICALLY
• Updates every 15 or 30 minutes in the background – nothing for you to do.
• Downloads only when a new image is actually available, saving data and battery.
• The time and source of each image are shown at the bottom.
• Spotted interesting weather? Share the current image with one tap.
• After choosing a new place, the first image usually arrives within 1–3 minutes.

ANIMATED CLOUD MOTION (PRO)
• Animated mode: the last 8 images play on your lock screen with smooth cross-fades – watch clouds and fronts move.
• Draws only while the screen is visible.
• Frames load gradually: for Meteosat imagery one per minute, at EUMETSAT's request, so the full animation takes about 10 minutes to build.

WORLDWIDE
• Use your own location, pick one of 60+ preset cities, or search any place by name or coordinates.
• Four zoom levels, from your local area to a whole continent.
• Skyframe automatically picks the geostationary satellite with the best view of your location: Meteosat (Europe, Africa, Middle East, India), Himawari (East Asia, Australia), GOES-East and GOES-West (the Americas, Pacific).
• True-colour or visible imagery by day, infrared at night – so you can see clouds after dark too.
• Country borders and coastlines for easy orientation.

MADE FOR YOUR PHONE
• Images are rendered to fit your exact screen size.
• Manufacturer-specific tips (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus, vivo and more) to keep background updates reliable.

FREE AND PRO
• Free: a fresh still image every 30 minutes, anywhere in the world, with two zoom levels.
• Skyframe Pro, a one-time purchase with no subscription: animated mode, 15-minute updates and every zoom level.
• Try every Pro feature free for 7 days.

CLEAN AND PRIVATE
• No ads, no sign-up, no tracking.
• Your location stays on your phone – image services only receive a map area hundreds of kilometres wide.
• Available in English and Hungarian.

Satellite imagery: EUMETSAT, NASA GIBS, NOAA and the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). Skyframe is an independent app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organisations.
