Block Image Lite was developed to meet the needs of meat processing plants that produce hamburgers, sausages, and other meat products.
The application uses computer vision technology to analyze and classify trimming blocks—blocks formed from deboning trimmings, obtained either in-house or sold between companies—where the proportion of lean meat and fat directly impacts market value, nutritional composition, recipe formulation, and several other quality parameters.
