BlockStart is the running app for sprinters, hurdlers, and any runner who wants to improve their start, measure their times, and track their performance. Turn your phone—and your Wear OS watch—into a complete training tool.

🏃 STARTS AND REACTION TIME
• Realistic start sequence: "On your marks… Set… Go!" with voice prompts and trigger.

• Measure your reaction time with the camera (posture detection) or the accelerometer.

• False start detection (below 0.100 s).

• Ready delay → fixed or random trigger to prevent anticipation.

• Record your start on video with the reaction time overlaid.

⌚ WEAR OS
• Trigger the start from your watch and measure your reaction time on your wrist, synced with your phone.

🏁 FINISH LINE TIMER
• Time your races by placing your phone at the finish line.

• 3 modes: phone only, phone + watch (with reaction time), or two connected phones.

• Multi-runner: time multiple runners simultaneously and view the rankings (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.).

📊 TIMES & PROGRESS
• Save your times for each event, including wind, altitude, location, date, and notes.

• Automatic adjustments: wind correction, sea level equivalent, and age grading.

• Custom events with your own name (e.g., "35m").

• Personal and season records with progress graphs.

• Calculate combined event points (heptathlon, decathlon, pentathlon) using World Athletics tables and analyze which events you need to improve in.
