About this app

A QR code never shows where it leads. That is exactly what QR code scams ("quishing") exploit: fake parking meters, fake fines, tampered menus and fraudulent payment links. BlokQR checks the destination BEFORE you open it - and never opens the link on your phone.

HOW IT WORKS
- You scan a QR code or a barcode, or paste a link you received in a message.
- BlokQR follows the real destination (redirects included) on its secure server, without opening anything on your device.
- You get a clear, signed verdict - safe, caution or dangerous - with the reasons and the threat category (login phishing, brand impersonation, deceptive redirect and more).

No connection? BlokQR runs a local analysis of the code, directly on the device, to flag obvious risks - you are never left without a verdict.

PRIVACY AND SECURITY BY DESIGN
- No account, no ads, no third-party trackers.
- The camera feed and images stay on your device - never transmitted.
- Your scan history is stored encrypted on your device (AES-256-GCM, hardware-backed key) and can be erased at any time.
- Optional biometric lock for the history and for the whole app, plus a "secure screen" that hides content in the app switcher and blocks screenshots.
- The scanned URL is not retained by the service.
- Post-quantum grade protection (FIPS 203/204) for exchanges with the service and for verdict signatures.
