Ratings and reviews

The new update in March 2026 took away one of the most value added reasons I used the app. When a product in the cart was part of a BOGO deal, it would alert me. The new app took that away. Even if I know about the local BOGO deals and put them in my cart, they do not get applied so I end up paying full price. The convenience for grocery pick up is not worth the money I would overspend by not having those deals applied. I will likely only use this in emergencies for pick up and not recomend.

The app has become more difficult to use since the updated version was released. It is not as convenient to inform the store you're on your way/you've arrived, or browse items by category (ex: Meat counter items are no longer all under "Fresh Meat"). I also dislike that the order is charged to my card prior to pick-up; it means a second charge if I decide to add more to my order.

The old version was fantastic! This new instacart version is terrible. It takes forever to alert them you have arrived for pickup. Adjusting items after the order is placed is unnecessarily complicated. I shouldn't have to text them to remove an item or adjust quantity. Doing backups and leaving notes was so easy on the old version. Now not so much. Also can't reuse bags now because of the huge stickers. Change it back please.
