Been using this app for a few years on the latest version of Android. It's been working flawlessly. Recently the app crashes just after the splash screen. Not sure if intentional because Android doesn't report it as a crash. Also up date at the time. Support tell me I need to have a paid support on the server if they want to look at the issue. May be a scam to get customers to extend thier server support. Seems scammy to me. My server support ended 18 months ago.

I love Blue Iris and when this app is working, it is exceptional. The problem is that is rarely works. I know its not by back-end video server. I can patch into it using the web interface with ease and without fail every time. I know its not my phone. I have the latest Samsung every year. With this app, it works intermittently. Sometimes I receive snapshots of alerts, most of the time I don't. Connecting from notifications is useless. It almost never works. I have to disconnect, reconnect to get it to work again. I would be helping friends and family get onto the Blue Iris System if the mobile app worked better. I have been using it for almost 2 years and it just seems to be getting worse not better.

UI is functional but feels very dated. I'm frustrated by the inability to change the layout of cameras on-screen- If I pull up a group of two cameras I don't want to see them side by side on a vertical phone screen. The connection to the server is usually pretty snappy, at least. Overall, the excellent BI server-side software deserves a much better mobile app, especially for the price.
