About this app

Advanced Car Eye 2.0 comprises two full-HD premium wide-angle cameras (front and rear windscreen cams) for your vehicle. Using proximity (radar) and vibration sensors (G sensors), it captures and records critical situations while driving and parking to use as evidence if necessary.

Advanced Car Eye 2.0 is the monitor and control panel for your cameras. You can watch and download recorded videos and images and make manual recordings.

All settings can also be adjusted using the Advanced Car Eye 2.0 app:

This app is not good... I am not able to get the app to connect my phone to the camera. The Eye was installed by my local BMW service (the first one they ever installed, btw) and the camera works but the app doesn't connect to the camera or my Android phone. Had this app for over a ear. At first I struggled to work it out but have now got it (I think). It is very far from simple and easy to use. Image quality is quite good but recording rear and front recordings within one file means you need the app to view them (cannot do it using just usual video players). Tried it on Phone which proved easier than a Windows PC but still struggling to email files.

Works and ok now. Had a few teething problems with camera not connecting. Found the solution. Before you start the app, set airplane mode on your mobile phone. Then switch on wireless only, then start the app. For me, that works every time. you need either the engine running or press the start button in your BMW 3 times in quick succession. Downloaded videos to my phone ok. If the camera is triggered when I'm not in the car, the camera beeps the next time to you start the engine.
