About this app

My Database Pro puts real databases on your phone. Create and edit SQLite databases with no server and no account, connect to your own MySQL server when you want one, and attach photos to any record.

DATABASES ON THE PHONE
• Create, rename, duplicate and delete SQLite databases and tables
• Add, edit and delete records; search with plain text or an SQL condition
• Sort each table by any column, newest first for dates
• Choose which columns a card shows and in what order
• Add, rename and reorder columns — the app rebuilds the table for you
• Lock a database with a password: the whole file is encrypted (SQLCipher)

PHOTOS IN RECORDS
• Attach any number of pictures from the camera or the gallery
• Rotation corrected automatically, thumbnails made for the list
• Full-screen viewer with pinch-zoom and swipe
• Drag to reorder, select several to delete, share or save to the device

CODES AND TEXT
• Scan a QR code or barcode straight into a field
• Read text off a photograph and pick the line you want
• Draw a QR code or barcode from a value and show it on every card
• Make QR code and barcode labels on an A4 page, ready to print or save as PDF
• Recognition runs on the phone — no picture is uploaded to be read

MYSQL ON YOUR OWN SERVER
• The same screens work on a MySQL database as on a local one
• TLS with certificate pinning, optional connection locks
• Copy a phone database to a MySQL server in a few steps
• The app can make the picture API key, put the API file on your server and check that it works

SHARE A MYSQL DATABASE
• Add users and give each their own rights: read, plus add, edit or delete records
• Each user gets their own picture key and, where the server allows it, their own MySQL login
• Hand them a connection file protected by a password; they add it with + on the Databases list

SQL QUERY
• Run any SQL statement against a local or MySQL database

AI ASSISTANT
• A chat that knows the app and answers questions about it
• In SQL Query it writes the SQL for you to check and run; in the code editor it makes the change in the open file, undone in one step; in the terminal it suggests commands to paste
• Works with the AI provider of your choice using your own key, or with a model running on your own computer
• The app includes no key and sells no access to a model

IMPORT, EXPORT AND BACKUP
• Import CSV, SQLite files and ZIP archives with pictures
• Export as SQLite, ZIP with pictures, CSV or MySQL .sql
• One-file backup of every database, its pictures and your settings, with an optional password over the saved logins
• Upload straight to your own SFTP or FTP server

PUBLISH AS A WEB PAGE
• Turn a database into a searchable web page with pictures, on a web server you own

YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS
No account, no ads, and nothing sent to us. Everything is stored on your phone or on servers you configure yourself. Saved logins are kept under an Android Keystore key.

Three sample databases are included: Chinook, the classic music-store sample for practising SQL; Animals, a small picture database; and Products, a small product register for trying barcodes.

UNLOCKING THE APP
The app is unlocked with an in-app purchase: buy it once, or subscribe monthly with a trial period for new subscribers. If a subscription ends, your databases stay readable, and backup and export keep working.

Available in 50 languages. The full guide is built into the app and works offline.

What’s new

• AI: long answers are no longer cut off. Each model may now write as much as it can — models on your own server up to their full context, cloud models up to their provider's limit. Before, replies stopped at about 8,000 tokens, so long code ended halfway.
• Backup: your AI providers and models, your own server included, and the model you picked now go into the backup and come back with a restore.
• AI Settings: models are listed by their own name, without the owner in front (mlx-community/…).
