About this app

BodyDashCam turns your phone into an on-board camera: a dashcam for your car, or a bodycam for walks. Every video is automatically stamped with your GPS coordinates (5-decimal precision), burned directly into the footage.

100% offline — No data ever leaves your phone. No account, no server, no tracking: all recording and processing happens locally, on the device.

Crash-proof segmentation — Set your own segment length (15 sec to 24 h): each segment is saved to your Gallery/Photos as soon as it's finished, independently of the rest. If the battery dies, storage runs out, or the app crashes, only the current segment can be lost — everything already recorded stays safe.

Optional merging — Want one continuous file instead of several segments? Turn on automatic merging at the end of the recording, with the option to delete the original segments afterwards.

Automatic backup — BodyDashCam saves directly to your phone's Gallery (Android) / Photos (iOS) app. If you've enabled Google Photos (Android) or iCloud Photos (iOS), your videos will sync to the cloud automatically — no extra setup needed inside BodyDashCam itself.

Foreground-only for now — Right now, recording requires the app to stay in the foreground. If you leave the app, the current recording is stopped and saved automatically — you can start a new one as soon as you come back, without ever losing the segments already recorded.
