Not all catches are equal. Bogey grades every aircraft on a five-tier rarity scale:

• COMMON — your daily 737s and A320s
• UNCOMMON — regional jets, business turboprops, the everyday rare
• RARE — wide-bodies, vintage airframes, less-common military
• LEGENDARY — Air Force One, the SR-71's surviving cousins, one-of-a-kind tails
• GHOST — they're up there, but they're not talking. Military going dark. Unknown squawks.

Some catches you'll have to hunt for. Some will surprise you on a Tuesday afternoon.

Bogey isn't a casual mobile game dressed up as aviation. It's built for actual spotters — planespotters, frequent flyers, military watchers, kids obsessed with planes, anyone who's ever pointed at the sky and asked "what was THAT?"

You can catch anything that flies. Even the ones that try not to be found — military aircraft sometimes fly dark, and we show them anyway with a "Ghost Signal" treatment. Data gaps are features, not bugs.

HOW IT WORKS

Aircraft positions contain information from adsb.lol, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL) v1.0 — the same publicly broadcast ADS-B data behind every serious aviation app. Aircraft details come from AeroDataBox and Planespotters.net.

Bogey uses publicly broadcast signals. We do not surveil. We identify.
