About this game

Your phone becomes a spectral scanner. What it finds is up to the night.

Spectral Vision is a fictional exploration game played through your camera. Press SCAN and the scanner sweeps your surroundings — reading darkness, stillness, weather and the character of the place itself. Most sweeps find nothing. That is normal. But sometimes a signal answers: turn your body, follow the radar, hold the signal centered... and something manifests in the smoke.

THE HUNT
Detection is never a coin flip. Night helps. Real darkness helps — the scanner measures it. Fog and storms stir the veil. Standing still sharpens the reading, and ground you have never scanned before is always more promising. Learn the hidden rules; the rare finds are earned.

A LIVING, SHARED WORLD
Some places have residents. A specter bound to a park or a street corner is the SAME being for every player who finds it — same name, same nature — computed from the place itself, with no account and no server. It may show itself to you and hide from your friend standing beside you. Every week, the population quietly moves.

BIND, NAME, COMMUNE
Every specter you catch enters your Field Journal with a procedurally generated identity — name, class, threat level, and a soul: an era it fell out of, a motive, a temperament. Rename it. Share its dossier card. And when it is present, COMMUNE: ask your questions and watch the answers resolve out of static — whispered, half-legible, rationed. Some answer warmly. Some should not be asked twice.

SUMMON
A bonded specter can be called to you — anywhere. Friendly ones mostly come. The indifferent may or may not. And calling something hostile is not always a mistake you get to learn from gently. The channel wearies if you call too often.

ENTRUST
Met another operator in person? Open a spirit tether — a glyph on your screen — and pass a specter into their keeping, phone to phone, no internet required. It will not know its new keeper yet.

• Everything stays on your device — the only network request is coarse, city-level coordinates to a public weather service.
• All audio and imagery is synthesized; the game is fully playable offline.

A WORK OF FICTION
Spectral Vision does not detect ghosts, spirits, or paranormal activity of any kind. Every reading, anomaly and entity is procedurally generated by game rules. The uncertainty is the game — the fiction is the fun.

What’s new

Your scanner now reads a presence's mood as it drifts into range — the air curling calm, uneasy, or dread-red long before the thing takes shape. Sharper senses. Earlier warnings. Sweep the dark, watch the color turn, and steel yourself: some moods you'll wish you'd never felt. The hunt has never been this alive.
