How It Works
Capture: Simply take a photo of a potentially diseased plant leaf or stem directly in the app, or upload one from your gallery.
Analyze: Our advanced AI model, powered by Hugging Face, processes the image to identify diseases and pests.
Act: Receive immediate identification results, confidence scores, and actionable treatment recommendations to protect your yield.

We believe your farm's data is as private as your home. That’s why we built CropKI with privacy at its core.
What We DO Collect & Why:
Crop Images: Used solely for disease analysis. Stored temporarily and securely in Firebase Cloud Storage.
Analysis Data: Disease results and timestamps are saved to provide you with a history of your crop's health.
Basic Device Info: Device model and OS version to ensure the app runs smoothly for you.
What We DO NOT Collect:
❌ Personal Information: No name, email, phone number, or identity is ever required or collected.
❌ Location Data: We do not track or store your GPS location or farm details.
❌ Advertising Data: We do not serve ads or use your data for marketing.
❌ User Accounts: No sign-up or login is needed. Start using the app immediately.
Transparent Data Handling
Your data is secured using industry-standard practices:
Encryption: All data transmission is encrypted via SSL/TLS.
Secure Storage: We use Google Firebase (Cloud Storage & Firestore), which complies with international security standards, to store images and analysis data securely.
Third-Party Processors: Images are sent to Hugging Face's API for classification, which processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not share your data with any other third parties.
You Are In Control
Permissions: You can deny camera or storage access at any time (though this limits core features).
Data Deletion:
Locally: Uninstall the app or clear app data from device settings to erase all local information.
From Cloud: Contact us directly to request deletion of your data from our secure servers.
Offline Demo: Use the app in demo mode for complete privacy, with all processing happening directly on your device.
