Vikasjön: Bit för bit ("piece by piece" in Swedish) is a calm puzzle story set around a small lake in Dalarna, Sweden.
Signe has laid the whole lake out on her table as a puzzle map, but only the pieces you have reached are painted in. Walk the shore path with Elin and Mille and stop at eight stations: an old milestone, a workbench at Rankhyttan, the church viewpoint, the bathing jetty, a channel model, a pause among birch and reed, and more. At every station you look at the place three times: as it is today, as it might have looked in the 1500s, and as it might have looked in the 1900s.
Each look is a small puzzle. Fit and turn pieces until a shoreline joins. Send a messenger along the right path. Keep a rhythm at the workbench. Rig a model bell, make room in a boat, wait for the water to settle in a channel model, and spot what changed between two pictures, even when the honest answer is that nobody knows why. Finish all three puzzles at a station to earn its map piece and a new page in your lake book.

The game is inspired by a real lake, but its scenes from the past are imagined and the map is made for play. It is not a history book, a guide or a walking route.
