LOOK is a free audiobook and written book for seeing through the separate self — drawn from the lookings of thousands of real people who searched for a self apart from life, and found what they found. If you have circled the question "Who am I?" — in books, in teachings, in what people call self-enquiry — this is that looking, in plain words.

Eighteen tracks, about two hours. Nothing to believe — everything to check for yourself.

What this is

This is not an audiobook to understand. Every track asks you to check something — directly, in your own experience, while the voice waits. There is no speed control. The silences are not gaps; they are where the book happens.

Listen anywhere — walking, resting, riding, working with your hands. Come back as often as you like: the questions stay new, because the only moment any looking can happen in is this one.

The book itself lives inside the app — every track, and the written text. It plays with no connection at all: on a plane, in a tunnel, and years from now. Your place is kept, the lock screen carries the player, and the book plays on with the screen off.

The daily lookings

The daily looking — the short track the book leaves you with — is built to be played every day, forever, and it ships inside the app with everything else. New lookings keep being written, and they arrive in their own room as they are ready. They come over a connection — the book itself never needs one — and you can download the ones you want on your phone for the days without one.

The written book, and a notebook

The whole written book is inside too, set like a book. At each place it asks you to write, the page simply makes room. Whatever you write is yours: the app never counts it, never analyzes it, and has never sent a word of it anywhere.

Free, forever

No account, no email, nothing to buy. No ads, no streaks, no reminders — nothing counts your days or asks you to come back. This book is free so that it can travel: if someone comes to mind while you listen, send it to them.

The one thing a recording cannot do
