BoomBuster is the app built specifically to block bass from neighbors, subwoofers, and nearby stereos — by targeting the exact frequency where that noise lives, not by playing one generic sound and hoping it helps.

Most white noise apps play a flat, even mix across all frequencies. Bass concentrates in a narrow low-frequency range, so generic white noise only partially covers it. WHAT BOOMBUSTER DOES — AND DOESN'T DO

BoomBuster masks noise, it doesn't eliminate it. It works by covering the disruptive frequency with sound in that same range, similar to running a fan, so your brain stops registering the original noise as clearly. The noise is still physically present — you just stop noticing it.

BoomBuster does not block physical vibration (for example, a downstairs neighbor's speakers shaking your floor). It masks airborne sound only. We'd rather tell you that upfront than have you find out after downloading.

It works fairly well and would get a higher rating except the app keeps shutting off before the time frame is up even on infinity and then locks up. I have to close it out multiple times to reset the app in order to get it to open up to then start it or restart my phone. I've had to do that multiple times. please fix it. Using it on a Galaxy 9+.

Absolute lifesaver. I have a condition called Misophonia which makes me extremely sensitive to thumping bass even from a long distance. The CD version of this was the only thing standing between me and absolute insanity when I lived in a flat in London with a lot of wannabe DJs nearby. It works so much better than earplugs or other white noise type apps I've tried. A speaker with good bass reproduction is important, or headphones if you're not sleeping.

I started using BoomBuster way back in 2017, now having the convenience of carrying it around on the phone and transferring via Bluetooth devices is going to change everything for me. I can not recommend BoomBuster enough. It has saved me may a sleepless night not due to music (Bass) but also industrial noises.
