About this game

A serial killer is terrorizing the streets of Victorian London, and private investigator Sydney Emerson has hit a new low between finding lost dogs and receiving alleyway beatings. A turn of events sees Sydney forgoing his selfish nature and thrusting himself into perilous and increasingly surreal situations, treading a fine line between dreams and reality.

Explore the foggy streets of Victorian London in all its decadence and depravity, searching the slums, taverns, brothels and even Sydney’s abstract dreamscapes for clues, while meeting a host of interesting, insane and eccentrically British characters along the way.

“The game mixes realism and surrealism to create a story that can cause just as much laughter as fear. A-” - Just Adventure

“Has its moments of laughter and sheer horror to excite any avid gamer who loves a good narrative. 9/10 ” - BagoGames

This game surprised me. I've played other 2D mystery games but this one has something unique about it. It's not easy to explain. Everything from the graphics and sound to the story(it is quite dark hence the name)and especially the humor(like the dream sequence with the fish) all have a certain charm to them. I didn't want to stop playing and then when it did end I felt like a deflated balloon. Great work. Really looking forward to act 2 and beyond...😉

This is a work in progress review as I haven't finished playing yet. I will update my rating accordingly. Like it so far. No major bugs. Some feedback for the developer: 1. Screen goes off during the dialogs if you are not interacting. Maybe ask for screen permission and keep it on. 2. Hold touch to reveal interactions isn't always working. 3. It would be nice to have a full screen without the black bars on the left and right on wider 19:9 screens. 4. The prologue and dialogs are a bit long.

The Slauthter is, as far as Adventure games go, simply perfect. The graphics are incredibly well done, and the music really fits the feeling of the game. The story and the characters are all superb, and they leave you wanting more. I can't recommend this game enough: if you enjoy P&C games, buy this!
