THE RULES ARE ALL THERE
Castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate and stalemate, and every way a chess game is actually drawn: the fifty-move rule, threefold repetition, and insufficient material. The move generator is checked against the standard reference positions, so what the board lets you play is what the laws of chess allow.

The tutorial is not a slideshow to skip. It is a real chess game against the weakest opponent, with hints while you need them and one tap to turn them off when you do not.

EVERY GAME, JUDGED MOVE BY MOVE
Games are kept on the phone and can be replayed move by move. The engine reads the whole game back and says what each move cost against the best one available, so you can see the move that decided it instead of guessing. Moves are written in proper notation, the way they are in a chess book.

AND WHEN YOU WANT SOMEBODY REAL
Four online chess tables against real people. The low table is open to everyone; the middle, high and demon tables open as you level up, and the demon table gives you ten seconds a move. You see the entry cost, the prize and the clock before you sit down, and you can challenge anyone you see online by name.

The entry cost and the prize are coins. Coins are part of the game and nothing else: they have no cash value, there is nothing to cash out, and no real money can be won here. You earn them by playing, and you can buy more if you would rather not wait.

A RANK YOU CLIMB, AND A BOARD YOU APPEAR ON
Every online chess game moves your rating. The leaderboard shows name, country, rating and games played, and your rank has an emblem that changes as you climb. The rating is yours in this game alone: nothing is carried over from another game.
