Braintoss 10 is a completely new, native Android app, built alongside the iPhone version. One screen holds everything: a large note with the keyboard ready, and the microphone, Send and camera around it. No choosing a mode before you can start.

ON YOUR WATCH
Braintoss for Wear OS records a voice note on your wrist and sends it on its own. Your phone can stay in your pocket. Add the Braintoss tile to your watch's tiles and one tap starts a voice note.

WHEN THERE IS NO SIGNAL
Braintoss keeps the note and sends it as soon as you are back online, in the background. Nothing waits for you to remember it.

PRIVACY
Your notes go only to the destinations you set up. Text in photos is read on your device. There are no adverts, no analytics and nothing sold on. The microphone, camera and location are optional — skip any of them and the rest still works.

Ratings and reviews

Works ok once I got past the set-up. But beware - it has an irritating hidden quirk. I pasted in my email address and everything looked fine, except the final 'Next' button refused to work. Turns out that it won't accept an email address if you paste it in - you have to laboriously type it. You'd think it might tell you what's gone wrong, but no - it just appears to have crashed.

It does not transcribe voice to text, it will only send a mp3 file with the recording. support says that they were working on it but that's been a couple weeks and it still isn't fixed. The image quality when taking a picture through the app is also terrible. edit, it is now almost a year later and support does not answer any messages, download another app as this one is terrible!

If I could give it a zero I would. It only works about 20% of the time. I sent myself a note last night. It never came through to my email. Sent another note to test it out and guess what? The note from last night came through but not the new Note. My email is Gmail and I've checked all the folders including spam. It isn't an organization problem with Gmail, this app just isn't send out all notes. This is hardly a productivity solution if you can't trust the app.

What’s new

• Pressing Enter in a note no longer repeats or re-corrects the word you just typed on the next line (seen with Samsung Keyboard and predictive text). A list typed line by line comes out exactly as you typed it.
