BiteWindow shows the best times to fish and hunt today — fully offline. It calculates solunar major and minor feeding periods from the moon's position, plus moon phase, sunrise and sunset, moonrise and moonset, and a daily activity rating, with zero network required.

Anglers and hunters have used solunar theory for decades: fish and game feed most around the moon's daily transits and around moonrise and moonset. BiteWindow turns that into a simple "glance and get the answer" screen — a live countdown to the next feeding window, a 0–100 day rating with stars, and a clean activity chart across the day.

FAQ

What is solunar theory? It predicts peak fish and wildlife feeding activity from the moon's position — strongest around the moon's overhead/underfoot transits (major periods), around moonrise and moonset (minor periods), and around the new and full moon.

Does it work with no signal? Yes. Solunar times, moon phase, sun and moon times, the chart, and the day rating are all calculated on your device. Only the optional weather and tide extras use the network.

Are there ads or a subscription? No ads, no tracking, no subscription. PRO is a single one-time purchase.

Is my location tracked? No. Your location never leaves the device except a coarse latitude/longitude sent directly to the public weather and tide services when you use those optional features.

How accurate are the times? The engine implements standard astronomical algorithms (Meeus) and is validated against U.S. Naval Observatory rise/set and moon-phase data.
