About this app

Brave Notes is a notebook for your tablet and stylus. Write and sketch on paper-like pages, mark up PDFs, and keep everything in order, all on your device, with no account and no internet needed.

WRITE NATURALLY
• Pen, pencil and highlighter that follow your pen pressure, with a soft, normal or firm feel
• Five preset widths or your own, any colour, and adjustable opacity
• Stroke and partial erasers, plus a lasso to select, move, resize, rotate, copy and paste your writing
• A ruler for straight lines and a laser pointer for presenting
• Undo with a two-finger tap, redo with a two-finger double tap
• Draw with your finger too, or keep finger touches for scrolling

MORE THAN INK
• Text boxes with fonts, sizes, colours, bold, italic, underline and alignment, and text that flows on to the next page
• Rectangles, ellipses, triangles and arrows with fill and border
• Post-its, photos, stickers, GIFs and videos, with crop, flip, borders and rounded corners
• Record audio while you write; recordings stay with the note

PAGES YOUR WAY
• Blank, ruled, dotted or grid paper
• A3, A4, A5, Letter, Legal or square pages, portrait or landscape
• Add, delete, rotate and reorder pages, and zoom from 50% to 400%

MARK UP PDFS
• Open a PDF from your files or another app and write right on it
• Your original PDF is never changed
• Search its text, select it and follow its links

STAY ORGANISED
• Folders in seven colours, grid or list view, and sorting
• Search notes by title and by the typed text inside them
• Deleted notes go to the Bin first, so you can restore them

SHARE YOUR WORK
• Export as PDF, PNG, JPEG or a .bravenote file that opens as an editable note in Brave Notes
• Export one page, every page or a range
• Share to other apps or save to your files

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Notes save automatically as you write
• Everything stays on your device: Brave Notes has no internet access, so nothing leaves unless you share it
• The microphone is used only when you record
