About this app

BRCKS Chat is a messaging app for construction crews. Site teams, subcontractors and the office in one place — and every chat already knows which job it belongs to.

Your foreman types his mobile number, we text him a six-digit code, and he is in. No password. No setup. No training.

CHATS THAT KNOW WHICH JOB THEY ARE ON

• One list, newest first, the way you are used to. Running more than one site? Switch it to group every chat under its job.
• Start a group for anything — a job, a trade, a delivery week.
• A private pad of your own, "Just me", for the notes you would otherwise text to yourself.
• Archive a chat you are done with. It stays archived for you and nobody else.

EVERYTHING YOU SEND FROM SITE

• Photos and video — up to 30 at a time, from the camera or your library.
• Mark a photo up before it goes. Circle the defect, draw the arrow, write the word.
• Voice notes, PDFs and documents.
• Share straight into a chat from any other app on your phone.
• Reply, react, forward, copy, delete. Read receipts and typing, so you know it landed.
• @mention someone to pull them in.

IT KEEPS SENDING WHEN THE SIGNAL DOES NOT

Press send in a basement or a lift shaft and the message waits. It finishes on its own when you come back up, even if you have moved on to another chat. You do not have to go back and check.

ONE TAP TURNS A MESSAGE INTO A RECORD

Say the second floor window is cracked and BRCKS offers to raise it as a snag. Mention Tuesday and it offers the calendar entry. A list of jobs becomes a checklist. Nothing is created until you tap it, nothing is written by itself, and every one of them can be undone from the line it leaves in the chat.

FIND IT AGAIN SIX MONTHS LATER

• Search every chat you are in — by what was said, and by what the photos show.
• A gallery for each chat: photos, documents and voice notes together.
• Site photos on a map of the job.
• File any photo to its job, so it is in the record and not just in the conversation.

BRING YOUR WHATSAPP GROUP WITH YOU

Export a WhatsApp group, share it into BRCKS Chat and pick the job. The photos land on that job, backdated and credited to whoever sent them, and the old conversation is kept as a read-only archive. Your crew's live chat is not touched. If it is not what you wanted, undo it.

HOW YOU GET IN

BRCKS Chat is invite-only. Someone already running a job on BRCKS adds your mobile number, you get a text, and you are in. There is no public directory and no way to message anyone you do not share a job or a company with.

What’s new

Your team now sits under your chats: tap a face to message them.
Add a person from anywhere and choose Team member or Subcontractor.
See when a message is delivered, even when their phone is locked.
Notifications open straight on the message.
Big photos no longer freeze the app, and unsent messages stay safe until they go.
