The only mobile wallet I trust and actually enjoy using. ive used every iOS wallet and found them all lacking for one reason or another. used breadwallet on iOS for years and am happy to continue on android. having active dev who communicates in reviews and on reddit is massively appreciated. this does everything a mobile wallet should do (send, receive, recover) and it does so intuitively and securely.
It's very good, and one of the most secure simple to use on Android, however the battery usage is insane. In 50 mins I have gone from 100% to 80% and battery usage shows breadwallet as the highest drainer by a LONG way. I haven't opened the app at all today, the only way is to force close the app to stop whatever is happening in the background.
I've been a huge fan of this wallet but lately have run into complete interface freezing where it is unresponsive to any interaction after authenticating with the app. It's impossible to access my bitcoin, phone reboot etc doesn't help. This is a major issue! And not the first time I I've run into this but seems to be the longest.
Just installed this app yesterday and it consistently hangs after syncing. It is completely useless. Because of this issue, you will not be able to access your bitcoin.
Syncing often gets stuck at 100%. EDIT: It's better now, but frequently fails to start sync upon opening. So far no more hangs at 5% or 100%.
Forcing a screen lock = not cool. I keep my phone with me at all times, just like my physical wallet, and I don't want to turn on an annoying screen lock just for this app. Having me enter a secure passphrase only when starting the app is sufficient to encrypt the private key. Look, I get it, most people need to have their hand held through the process of securing their stuff, and adding an extra layer of security is covering your own behinds. But there needs to be an option for advanced users to not use the Android built-in encrypted storage, and use an app-specific one instead. This is how my password manager works. Heck, I could do it for you. Just implement PBKDF2 and enforce a minimum password length and salt the remaining bits. Encrypt the private key using that. Boom. Just please don't force overbearing (and redundant) security features on users who don't want or need them.
