Guardians and educators who cannot read Braille cannot communicate with blind students in Braille in real time. In particular, young blind students need to communicate with their parents and teachers and learn the language. ‘Bridge’ developed ‘Glance’ to enable such communication.



If you take a picture of braille, it is recognized by deep learning and translated into Korean.

You can check the result of translating into Braille by directly entering the text on your phone's keyboard.


■ Things to keep in mind when taking braille pictures

1. You need plenty of light. For best results, there should be light on top of the document being photographed.

2. The clearer the braille shadow, the better the recognition. Shine a light so that the shadow of the braille points downward.

3. Minimizing photo shake is recommended.

4. Double-sided braille documents can be recognized :)


■ Things to keep in mind when using snowy roads

1. If there is no network connection, braille -> print translation is not possible.

2. The bookmark function is not available without a network connection.


■ Currently supported translation function

1. Ability to translate Braille sentences mixed with pure Hangul, special symbols, and numbers into Korean

2. Ability to translate Hangul mixed with Hangul, special symbols and numbers into Braille


■ Translation result feedback

You can send feedback on the translation result to the developer by clicking the text ‘Is the translation result strange?’ in the app. You can also email feedback directly to the developer from the Preferences tab > Contact Us.
