I thought I was going crazy. I bought 3 sets of these lights - 1 on one occasion. They worked awesome, so I bought 2 more a week later. For some reason those didn't work, I tried everything and going as deep as my phone permissions, wifi permissions, and accounting for RF issues. Turns out: it used the other Brizlabs Life app (black background) even though they are from the same Amazon link! Scan the QR code on your lights and be sure you are using the right app! Otherwise these work great!

I like the lights well enough but this app has difficulty connecting with Google Home. Google home will regularly tell me the app/link is not available. Inside the app it inconsistently applies timings (like sunrise/sunset) and this may be because the app freezes up when I try to map my location. The music synch function seems to be useless, although I can't tell if this is the app or the string of lights.

My lights have been connected, however, there is no option for creating my own light patterns and no access to presets like in the description such has differently holidays/seasons ... the app is confusing, but the lights themselves are beautiful
