Duel Blackbeard, raid the captain who raided you, and build one ship
from a leaky sloop up to a Second Rate.
Broadside is a pirate ship base builder set in 1720. Design and fitout your ultimate Pirate Ship and take on your opponents in PvP Raids.
🏴 HUNT THE FAMOUS ONES
Blackbeard. Charles Vane. Samuel Bellamy. Anne Bonny. The great
names of the age sail against you in daily battles, each with a ship
and a way of fighting that has to be answered on its own terms.
⚓ BUILD THE SHIP, ROOM BY ROOM
Magazines, gun decks, carpenters, the hold. Every room has to be
crewed and every gun has to be carried, and she will only bear so
much. More cannon means less hold. There is no loadout that wins
everything, only the one that beats what you expect to meet.
⚔ WIN IT BEFORE THE FIRST SHOT
Choose the guns, crew the decks, give the standing orders. Heavy
cannon hit like a falling mast but take an age to run out. Light
guns never stop. Gunnery against armour, speed against the weather
gauge, carpenters racing the water coming in. Lose, and the replay
shows you which decision cost you.
💥 RAID REAL CAPTAINS
Take a merchantman for easy iron, or take another player for theirs.
What you lift out of their hold is gone from it. When someone does it
to you, the report lands with a replay of them doing it.
⛵ SIX TIERS OF SHIP
Sloop, Schooner, Brig, Frigate, Galleon and Second Rate. Refit the
ship you sail, or upgrade to the next hull up.
