About this app

Broke or Not is a free, calendar-based budget planner that answers the question your bank balance can't. Not "how much do I have right now", but "after everything else has gone out, can I still afford this on the 14th of next month?"

HOW IT WORKS

1. Set your starting balance
Tell Broke or Not what you have today. That single figure is all it needs to begin projecting forward.

2. Add your income and expenses
Enter one-off items and recurring ones — weekly, monthly or yearly. Salary, rent, subscriptions, loan instalments, groceries, school fees, a holiday you're saving for. Each entry gets a category, so you can see where the money goes.

3. Read the balance on any future date
Every day in the calendar carries the balance you're projected to have on it — months or even years ahead. Tap any day to see exactly which entries produced that number.

WHAT YOU GET

• A running balance projected onto every future day

• A category on every entry, with per-category totals for the month
• Drill into any category to see the individual entries behind the total
• Month totals for money in, money out, and what is actually left

WHO IT IS FOR

Anyone paid on a schedule who has regular commitments to cover between paydays — rent or a mortgage, loan instalments, school fees, subscriptions. It is built for individuals and households planning their own money, not for businesses or accountants.

Broke or Not is free to use. There is no charge, no trial period that expires, and no payment card required to sign up.

YOUR DATA

Your entries are yours. Broke or Not does not sell your data and does not use it for third-party advertising. You can permanently erase your account and everything in it at any time from Settings, using Delete account.

What’s new

Pick your currency
• Choose your currency when you first set up your account — full ISO 4217 support, searchable by name, code or symbol.
• Changed your mind? Switch it any time from Settings.
• Amounts and exports now follow your chosen currency instead of defaulting to rupees.
