š Navigating a 45 km/h microcar (brommobiel) in the Netherlands can be tricky. Standard navigation apps often guide you onto motorways, expressways, or roads closed to microcars (Dutch C9 traffic signs).
BromBrom Manager is the ultimate companion app for microcar drivers, designed to download, install, and automatically update custom microcar navigation packages directly inside the OsmAnd app.
ā How does BromBrom work?
BromBrom programmatically bakes microcar access rules into the road network. It fuses OpenStreetMap (OSM) data with official live traffic sign data from the Dutch National Road Data Portal (NDW). Prohibited roads (C9 signs, motorways) are hard-filtered by the routing engine so you never get routed into dangerous or illegal traffic.

1. Install the free OsmAnd app on your device.
2. Open BromBrom Manager and tap "OPEN OSMAND" to forward the update.
3. In OsmAnd, check both "Settings" and "Resources", tap "Continue", then tap "Replace all" (or "Apply").
4. First-time setup: Open OsmAnd Menu ā Settings ā Configure profiles ā enable "BromBrom" (orange icon) and disable standard car profiles.
5. Select BromBrom and navigate with peace of mind!
