1 Overview
PitchSheet Studio is an application that analyzes pitch (fundamental frequency) from audio files or recorded audio and visualizes it as a time-based pitch curve.
The app detects pitch automatically from audio recordings and displays how pitch changes over time as a continuous curve. The generated pitch curves can be exported as horizontal graph images (PNG), making them useful for music research, music education, and pitch analysis.
PitchSheet Studio is designed as a simple and practical pitch visualization tool for analyzing singing or instrumental performances.
What makes this app unique is its ability to generate pitch curves connected like sheet music into an image or video, which can then be downloaded. This facilitates both documentation and external sharing. As far as I am aware, this feature is not found in any other service.
(1) Typical use cases include:
• Vocal pitch analysis
• Music research and pitch visualization
• Educational materials for voice and pitch training
• Visual analysis of melodic structures
(2) Supported audio formats
MP3 / WAV / M4A / AIFF
Users can select audio files stored locally on their device or record audio directly within the app.
The selected or recorded audio is analyzed to detect pitch and generate a visual pitch curve.
All audio processing is performed locally on the user's device. The app does not upload audio files or analysis results to external servers.
2 Basic workflow
1 Select an audio file from the device or record audio using the built-in recording function
2 Run pitch analysis
3 View the pitch curve visualization
4 Export the graph as a PNG image or save the recorded audio
3 Configuration options
PitchSheet Studio provides several settings that allow users to adjust how pitch data is displayed.
• Minimum pitch (Hz)
Sets the lower bound of the pitch range displayed in the graph.
• Maximum pitch (Hz)
Sets the upper bound of the pitch range displayed in the graph.
• A4 reference frequency
Defines the reference frequency for A4. The default value is 430 Hz.
• Tile duration
Controls how the pitch graph is segmented along the time axis.
• Grid interval
Adjusts the spacing of the time grid.
These settings allow users to adapt the visualization for different research or educational purposes.
4 Graph visualization
The generated pitch curve is displayed as a horizontal time-based graph.
Pitch values are shown along the vertical axis in frequency (Hz), making pitch movement easy to observe.
5 Video export
In addition to exporting pitch curves as PNG images, PitchSheet Studio can generate videos that combine the pitch curve visualization with the original audio.
The generated video synchronizes the pitch curve with the audio playback, allowing users to observe how pitch changes over time while listening to the recording. This makes it easier to analyze pitch movement in singing or instrumental performances.
These videos can be used for research presentations, educational materials, or visual demonstrations of melodic structure.
As far as we know, the ability to generate sheet-music-like pitch visualization videos directly from audio recordings is not commonly available in other applications.
6 Others
Since all processing occurs locally on the device, the application does not require an internet connection.
PitchSheet Studio is a simple and practical tool for pitch visualization, suitable for music research, music education, and vocal analysis.
