BrouseGroup DashCam turns your phone into a real dashcam — with one difference: nothing ever leaves your device.
No account to create. No cloud storage. No servers. No "sign in to continue." Your footage, your GPS tracks, and your settings stay on your phone, full stop.
WHY DASHCAM
Most dashcam apps quietly ask for a login and a subscription before they'll let you record. DashCam doesn't. Open the app, grant the camera and microphone permissions it actually needs, and start recording. That's it.
FEATURES
• Loop recording — record continuously in fixed-length segments, with the oldest clips automatically cleared as you approach your storage quota. Set your quota anywhere from 8GB to 128GB.
• Rear camera or USB camera — record with your phone's built-in rear camera, or plug in a USB dashcam-style camera for a dedicated windshield-mounted setup.
• Live preview — see exactly what's being recorded in real time, with a stats overlay showing speed, location, and G-force.
• Automatic crash / impact detection — DashCam watches your phone's motion sensors and flags and locks clips automatically when it detects a hard impact, so that footage doesn't get looped over.
• GPS track map — every recording session is plotted on a live map, so you can see your route, speed, and location history for each trip.
• Auto-start on power connect — set DashCam to automatically start recording when your phone is plugged in and charging, just like a dedicated dashcam unit.
• Adjustable bitrate and resolution — choose the recording quality that fits your storage and your camera, from Eco to Max bitrate, at every resolution your camera supports.
• Clip management — browse, play back, lock, and delete recorded clips, all stored in the app's private on-device storage (no separate storage permission required).
WHAT DASHCAM DOESN'T DO
It doesn't ask you to make an account. It doesn't upload your video anywhere. It doesn't sell or share your location data. It doesn't run ads. It doesn't phone home. It just records, loops, and stores everything locally, exactly like a purpose-built dashcam would — except it's the phone already in your car.
PERMISSIONS, PLAINLY
• Camera — to record video (built-in or USB).
• Microphone — to record audio alongside video.
• Location — to log speed, GPS track, and location tags on your recordings.
• Notifications — to show the recording status while DashCam runs in the background.
DashCam does not request storage/photos access — recordings are kept in the app's own private storage, not your shared gallery.
