The old app was worse than the previous one, and this one is worse yet. Calling it "Smart Home" is like calling every dish on the menu "food". Why do I have to select my one device every time I open the app? The "energy usage" screen us dumbed down. Okay, outside temperature is back. I'm not sure when because it was placed *behind* a menu so you have to scroll to see it without any sign it's there.

Lee, while we’re rebuilding the app for better long-term stability, we know we didn’t get all the details right out of the gate. We’re working on bringing back more intuitive controls in the next few updates, and your feedback on the app name and energy usage screen is being shared directly with our design team.

The App is terrible, the one before this worked better. Most of the time the changes I make on the app don't even go to the thermostat. I updated them in the thermostat and the app still doesn't even see the changed settings. The app is basically useless. Can I replace this thermost with a nest or something that has better support? The support behind this product is very poor.

Recently (Dec 8, 2025) pushed "upgraded" system software resulted in lost connectivity with each of my previosly connected mobile devices. Outrageously disappointing and a recurrence of similar system uograde result of the past. I would be cautious consumer regarding Bryant and Carrier heating and air-conditioning decision. What they didn't instruct, you must clear your apps cache [not data] after updating the system software to enable a successful connection.
