**Meridien Agriscience** is the official mobile application for employees, distributors, dealers, business partners, and other authorized users. The application provides secure, role-based access to business services and operational tools required for day-to-day activities.

### Business Features

The application includes multiple business modules, including:

* Collection Management
* Order Management
* Complaint Management
* Stock Management
* Customer Visit Management
* Product Information
* Important PDFs
* Company News & Notifications
* Employee Field Route

Access to each module is controlled based on the user's assigned role and permissions.

## Employee Field Route & Foreground Location Service

The **Field Route** module is the only feature that uses Android's **Foreground Location Service**.

This feature is designed for employees performing official field visits and requires continuous location updates only while an assigned field route is active.

Location tracking begins **only after** the employee:

1. Opens the **Field Route** module.
2. Selects an assigned route.
3. Taps **Start Route**.
4. Confirms the in-app consent dialog requesting permission to begin tracking.

Once the employee provides consent, the application starts an Android **Foreground Location Service** and displays a persistent notification:

**"Trip in Progress – Location Tracking is ON"**

The notification remains visible throughout the active trip so the employee is always aware that location tracking is in progress.

During an active field route, the application securely records GPS location at predefined intervals to:

* Record the employee's official travel route.
* Monitor route progress.
* Verify customer and field visits.
* Calculate attendance using Start Route and End Route timestamps.
* Maintain route history for reporting and operational purposes.

### Location Tracking Behavior

* Starts only after the employee manually starts a Field Route.
* Requires explicit user confirmation before tracking begins.
* Displays a persistent foreground notification while tracking is active.
* Continues while the app is in the background or the device screen is off to ensure uninterrupted route recording.
* Stops immediately when the employee taps **End Route**.
* Removes the foreground notification as soon as the trip ends.
* Does **not** collect or record location when no Field Route is active.
* Does **not** track employees outside an active Field Route.

Meridien Agriscience enables authorized users to efficiently manage business operations while providing field employees with transparent, user-initiated location tracking during official field activities.
