About this app

BT Notifier helps you find nearby Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy devices, keep a watch list, and receive local alerts when watched devices appear.

Use BT Notifier to:

• Scan for nearby Bluetooth devices and view their names, addresses, signal strength, and device type.
• Add devices to a watch list and give them names you recognize.
• Run optional background scans with a visible status notification.
• Choose the scan interval and duration.
• Limit background scans to times when a selected Wi-Fi network is nearby.
• Hide devices you do not want to see, then restore them later.

Your watch list, aliases, hidden-device choices, scan settings, and optional Wi-Fi selection stay in the app's private storage on your device. BT Notifier has no accounts, ads, analytics, or developer-operated data collection.

Android requires Bluetooth, notification, and, for some features or Android versions, location and nearby Wi-Fi permissions. BT Notifier uses those permissions for local device discovery, optional Wi-Fi-based scan limits, and notifications. It does not collect or transmit precise location coordinates.

Background scanning depends on Android's permission, battery, Bluetooth, and foreground-service rules. A watched device may not be detected if it is out of range, not advertising, powered off, or restricted by its own privacy settings.
