About this app

You are holding a baby in one arm and a phone in the other. You want to give
them something for ten minutes without handing over the whole internet.

That is the entire idea behind Bubblie.

Pick a screen, set a timer, and hand the phone across. The screen locks. Back
gestures stop working, the navigation bar disappears, the volume can't climb
past the ceiling you set, and there is nothing to tap out of — no ads, no
links, no purchases, no menus. When you want it back, press and hold the
bottom-left corner for a moment and enter your PIN.

ELEVEN SCREENS, BUILT FOR SMALL HANDS

• Sensory Drift — slow colour that needs no tapping at all
• Water Ripple — rings spread out, fish drift past
• Peek-a-Boo — clouds part, a friend waves, then hides

• Piano — six giant keys, tuned so there is no wrong note
• Balloon Pop — confetti and soft pops
• Fireworks — gentle bursts, never a bang
• Shape Magic — a square becomes a circle, becomes a butterfly, flies away

Screens are grouped by age. The calm set is slower and simpler for six to
twelve months; the playful set rewards cause and effect for one to three years.

SOUND THAT WON'T STARTLE

Every sound is generated by the app — nothing is streamed or downloaded. You
set a volume ceiling before you hand the phone over, and nothing can exceed
it, because the limit is built into the audio itself rather than left to a
slider. The piano is tuned to a pentatonic scale, so a baby mashing keys still
makes something that sounds like music.

A CARE LOG THAT TAKES TWO TAPS

While they are busy, log a feed, a diaper or a nap with a single tap. Save the
milestones you want to keep. Nothing to fill in later, no forms.

HONEST NUMBERS

The weekly view shows how much screen time actually happened, which screen
held their attention longest, and whether this week was more or less than the
last. Every figure comes from sessions that really took place. Bubblie will
never invent a number to make the chart look fuller.

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE

Bubblie is built without the internet permission. Not "we promise not to send
your data" — the app is physically unable to open a network connection, and
you can check that yourself in the permissions list on this page.

• No in-app purchases, no subscriptions
• No cloud backup — your care log is never copied to Google Drive
• Your child's name, birthday and your PIN never leave the device

Deleting the app deletes everything. There is no copy anywhere else.

ACCESSIBILITY

Reduce motion, high contrast and sound can each be turned off. Reduce motion
slows the drifts and thins the particles rather than freezing the screen,
because a still screen isn't a toy.

AN HONEST NOTE ABOUT THE LOCK

The corner-hold and PIN will stop a baby, a toddler, and most determined
three-year-olds. It is not designed to defeat an adult. For a lock that
genuinely nothing can leave, turn on Android's own Screen Pinning in
Settings > Security — Bubblie will tell you how.
