Small heroes. Big tactics. A garden worth protecting.

BUG WARS is a single-player, turn-based tactics game set in an isometric garden. Command animated bug heroes on a hex battlefield, face growing waves of pests, and shape your build through abilities, equipment and permanent progression.

Every turn presents a choice: advance, strike, control an enemy or reposition before the next attack. Manage your Energy, use obstacles to plan your approach, and review your action before confirming it.

17 BUGS, DIFFERENT WAYS TO FIGHT

Begin with Ladybug, Praying Mantis or Garden Spider, then expand your roster with heroes such as Green Lacewing, Ground Beetle, Hoverfly and Dragonfly.

Each playable bug has two special abilities. Explore close-range burst damage, ranged pressure, poison, webs, stun, recovery, defensive buffs and mobility. Earn permanent XP to develop your bugs and unlock more of their abilities.

FROM ONE HERO TO TWO

You begin as the garden’s lone defender. At Wave 15, a Right Hand companion joins your run.

Command both characters with their own movement, actions, Energy and equipment. Decide where to spend shared Run Funds, strengthen your partner, and keep the party standing as the threats grow.

MAKE A GARDEN PACT

After boss encounters, choose a Pledge for the next wave. Reach a marked position, hold your ground, finish within a turn limit or protect your companion.

A kept promise can reward your run with supplies, recovery, Energy or additional attack growth. Other Pledges award permanent Pledge Marks for developing equipment you already own.

GEAR THAT GROWS WITH YOUR BUILD

Collect weapons, armor, trinkets, charms and relics. Balance damage, defense, movement and Energy, including equipment with meaningful tradeoffs.

Use Pledge Marks to strengthen owned gear and choose an available ROOTS, THORNS or WIND specialization. Develop a favorite item instead of simply replacing it with the next reward.

FACE BOSSES AND GROWING PRESSURE

Encounter garden pests, boss battles and increasingly demanding enemy formations. Repeated attack-and-retreat tactics can awaken Pursuit pressure, forcing you to reconsider a comfortable strategy.

Survive each wave, recover between battles and invest carefully before continuing. How far can your chosen bug—and your build—take you?

LEARN, RETURN AND TRY AGAIN

Open the optional Learn Guide whenever you need help with controls, statuses, Energy, gear or progression. Inspect character stats and ability details during battle, explore the Bestiary, and collect Daily Rewards.

Permanent bug progression and owned equipment remain between runs. Continue from saved run checkpoints, or return to the checkpoint established after a defeated boss.
